7. Cardcaptor Sakura
By far my childhood favorite! I've watched this anime too many times for my own good really...
It brings me so many memories of a time that feels so far away from now, and that actually isn't.
Sakura is the cutest thing in the word, for real!! And Kero is adorable!! And Li... is it ok that my 6 year old self fell in love with an anime character? Hope so...
And my most recent favorite!
Never an anime left me so on edge like this one did. I kept trying to figure out what was going on and attempting to solve the cases before they did, but not much success there.
I'm not into horror stories at all, but I do enjoy creepy stuff, and this anime gave me a whole lot of creepy!! And mystery, which I live for!
The main character is the coolest thing ever! 1st she's a dark lolita, like whaaat!! And 2nd, she's a book lover and smart as hell!! Conclusion: I adore her!
9. Sailor Moon
You knew it was coming, didn't knew?
If you were a child, specially a girl, anywhere in the 90s, you know this was a must mention.
I remember watching this soooo much!! And loving it! The concept was so new and fresh, I recall everyone being obsessed with it, and with good reason!
But I must say: what's up with the Portuguese dubbed version of this? Actually, scratch that, what's up with all the Portuguese dubbed animes?? Japanese voices aren't that weird... AT ALL!!
10. Ojamajo Doremi
You also saw that coming... right??
It's part of all mine and my friend's childhoods! We all loved and watched it, and rewatching it always makes me happy and smiley!
And the purple one is still m fav... dibs!!
11. Kaleido Star
Till this day, the most inspiring anime I've ever seen ever!
This might be my all time favorite (along with Fushigi Yuugi... as I said, bad at choosing favs), everything about it was perfect. First, it's all about art and artists, and there's no other world I want to explore and dive into more than that one. Also, the main character is simply amazing. Everything about her, her attitude towards life, her courage and hard work... I've never seen a character with such strength.
The performances and soundtrack are on point, like everything else pretty much.
And the moment when she becomes what they call a "True Kaleido Star"... It's by far the most inspirational scene I ever ever seen in my life. Just seeing it alone makes me cry. It has inspired me to become the person I am today, and it inspired me everyday because the truth is, I aim to be like that. I saw that scene the first time when I was maybe 10 or so, and there isn't a day since then I don't think about it.
I'll show it here so you can see it and hopefully understand where I come from, though keep in mind: not only PT dubbed stuff is weird... the English voices are a bit too!
12. Tokyo Mew Mew
And, to finish off, another one that I can rewatch 100x and never get tired of!
Yes, I do have a think for cute and bright animes! But can you blame me? They make me happy!!
I've been getting into more serious and deep ones for the past 2/3 years or so, so if you wanna I'll make a post on those! But this post is about my all time favorites, and the main reason why I love animes is the fact that so many of them have this special ability to make me feel fantastically happy!! And those are the ones I wanted to share with you this time.
Anyway, back to the Mew Mew girls, this anime is the most adorable thing! Their transformations are the cutest, and the concept is pretty interesting. I mean, nobody can say no to cute girls with cute animal genes... right?
